Data Center 2.0—The Modular Transformation "The data center industry is entering a period of fundamental, disruptive change. A combination of technological, economic and market factors have been coming together, with the result that data centers are increasingly being engineered and constructed in a fundamentally different way than in the past. These factors mean that data centers can, and will be, constructed more economically (in terms of both up-front cost and over the course of ownership), more quickly and, ultimately, more reliably. In conjunction with this development, associated changes in IT infrastructure are helping to drive data center services to an outsourced model and have given birth to new cloud-based services that are more scalable and on-demand." Modular Data Center Campus (a key feature of the Symposium Exposition) - Accompanying this mini-conference-within-the Symposium will be a special two-day Symposium Exposition pavilion showcasing modular products and systems components from the leading industry developers. Symposium delegates will have the opportunity to receive guided, in-depth tours and expert briefings on each of the demonstrated designs. The Modular Campus will be open to all Symposium delegates and Exposition-registered visitors, and will include both Modular Technology Innovation Presentation conference sessions and special Modular Campus Theater Presentations given by modular design experts from each of the participating industry leaders.
