Jim Trout

President and Chief Executive Officer, Vantage Data Centers

Jim Trout has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Vantage Data Centers from its inception in 2010, bringing to bear over two decades of wholesale data center design and operational expertise to this first-ever next–gen data center company. Prior to Vantage, he served as Senior Vice President-Portfolio and Technical Operations, with full P&L responsibility, for Digital Realty Trust, a publicly held wholesale data center company. Mr Trout has held senior C–level positions in the data center vertical at Proferian, CoreSite and TeraSpace Networks.

Mr Trout is a Founding member of the private REIT, Security Capital Industrial Trust, an operating subsidiary of Security Capital Group, which later launched an initial public offering to become ProLogis, the world's largest public REIT of industrial facilities globally. He holds a Bachelor of Science, Chemical and Materials Engineering, from the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
