Nicole Peill-Moelter, PhD

Director of Environmental Sustainability- Akamai Technologies

As the Director of Environmental Sustainability at Akamai Technologies, Dr Peill-Moelter oversees the strategy and execution of environmental initiatives across the company, including carbon management, energy efficiency and waste reduction, employee engagement and customer-awareness.

Prior to this Dr Peill-Moelter held positions as senior product manager and principal solutions engineer. She has over fourteen years experience in high-tech communications including sales, marketing and innovative product design, development and management.

Along with her expertise in Internet technologies, Dr Peill-Moelter has a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Manhattan College, a PhD in Environmental Engineering Science from Caltech, holds a US Patent, and has a strong personal interest in renewable energy and sustainable technologies. She's a member of the Greenhouse Gas Experts Network, the GreenBiz Executive Network, the World Economic Forum Energy Efficiency and Standards & Metrics working groups, and is a big fan and supporter of the Rocky Mountain Institute.
