David Struhs is Vice President of Sustainability Strategy at C3. From 2004 to 2009, he was Vice President for Environmental Affairs at International Paper. Previously, from 1999 to 2004 he served as Secretary of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. From 1995 to 1999 he was Commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection. From 1993 to 1995 he was Vice President of The Canyon Group. From 1989 to 1993, he served as Chief of Staff on the US President's Council on Environmental Quality, and from 1986 to 1989 he was Executive Assistant to the Regional Administrator in the US Environmental Protection Agency.

Mr Struhs serves on the board of directors of the National Recycling Coalition and on the advisory board of the Global Environmental Leadership Initiative at the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business. He also serves, by appointment of the Administrator of the US Environmental Protection Agency, on the Federal Advisory Committee on Environmental Stewardship and the National Advisory Council on Environmental Policy and Technology. He has been named an "Innovator of the Year" by the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and a "Steward of the Everglades" by The Everglades Coalition.

Mr Struhs earned a BA degree in Journalism and Political Science from Indiana University and a Master of Public Administration degree from Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government. In 1985 he was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship.
