Matt Stansberry, Director of Content and Publications for Uptime Institute, has reported on the convergence of technology, facility management and energy issues in the data center since 2003. He launched SearchDataCenter.com in 2005 and managed that site and multiple other Tech Target properties as Editorial Director of the company's data center and virtualization media group. He won an award from the American Society of Business Publication Editors for his eBook, The Green Data Center.

Prior to joining Tech Target, Mr Stansberry was the managing editor of Today’s Facility Manager magazine and a staff writer for the US Green Building Council. He is currently developing unbiased, actionable resources for data center owners and operators to improve data center management, address changing regulations, and to advise on new equipment and standards. Additionally Stansberry is responsible for expanding the Uptime Institute’s outreach to other industry organizations and assisting in the content development of events, such as the Uptime Institute Symposium, and a new series of multimedia presentations on pressing industry issues.
