, Data Center Infrastructure Technologist, Hewlett Packard (HP), is a recognized industry expert on power, cooling and datacenter infrastructure. He is an evangelist for the latest in energy conservation and efficiency technologies for customers worldwide. He is a frequent keynote speaker at various data center engineering events, such as the Uptime, 7 x 24 Exchange, and Data Center Dynamics conferences. Baker joined Compaq in 1982 and was responsible for the formation of a number of organizations, and has held numerous other Engineering and Marketing positions within HP/Compaq, including program and product management for a variety of hardware and software products. Currently, Baker is focused on the development of “green” IT concepts and energy management technologies that drive hyper-efficiency in today’s IT environments.
