Neil Rasmussen is the co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer of APC. In 2007, Schneider Electric acquired APC and formed the Critical Power and Cooling Services (CPCS) Business Unit, which includes the APC and MGE UPS Systems brands.

Until February 2007, Mr. Rasmussen served as Senior Vice President, Chief Technical Officer of American Power Conversion. Mr. Rasmussen's current research is focused on next-generation high efficiency data centers. He holds 17 patents related to data center architecture and has published over 50 papers on that subject.

Prior to founding APC in 1981, Mr. Rasmussen received his BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
