Wire-free technologies are changing how data centers monitor and manage the environmental factors affecting their operations, budgets and assets. Such new technologies have a broader range of capabilities to meet the demands for greener and more process efficient facilities. Greater deployment flexibility and lower cost mean data centers now have the ability to provide the micro level of monitoring needed to help determine how "warm" to run a facility, for example. This session examines the best practices around sensor placement to enable the fine grained level of monitoring required by today's green data centers.
