GE has spent the last decade researching, analyzing and developing various battery chemistries for Energy Storage applications. This alternative energy storage system is shown to operate over a broad ambient temperature range and has the ability to achieve sufficient cycle life to support 15 years of exposure to power quality events. It also has the ability to report power delivery capability to minimize ambiguity for the operator. Impact to energy efficiency, uptime, and reduction of resources are highlighted.
