New York State aims to reduce projected energy consumption by 15% by 2015, and data center energy efficiency measures can play a key role in achieving that goal. Bob Callender, Vice President for Operations and Energy Services for the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) will discuss the role of New York State data center energy usage in creating a sustainable economy. Recognizing the link between economic growth and data center energy consumption, NYSERDA has created a suite of programs that focus on rewarding enterprise IT for efficient load growth.
