Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Systems are a core component of mission critical infrastructures in businesses today. Of the different UPS topologies available, true on-line double conversion UPS Systems have emerged as preferred topology because they offer reduced risk of critical load loss. This poses a problem because on-line double conversion UPS Systems are preferred, but are associated with lower system efficiencies. Today's trend towards the "Green Outlook" is already apparent and becoming one of the top priorities in the decision making process of equipment needs. This session will examine three level conversion topology in UPS systems.
