Earlier at the Symposium, the Uptime Institute introduced the most significant addition to its library of intellectual property since the Tier Classification System. This new standard, Operational Sustainability, will codify and classify the data center characteristics beyond Tiers that affect uptime. Operational Sustainability provides data center owners with the language and means to benchmark a wide range of additional, critical influences that can affect availability beyond the core topology of the Tier classification. In this two-part session, Uptime Institute Professional Services experts will explain and discuss the practicalities of Operational Sustainability.
